Musical Monday

What good is it to say, "Please,  Savior come,"
if there is nothing you need rescue from?

Jill Phillips is one of the good ones, y'all, and this song, "Nobody's Got It All Together" is available for a free download from NoiseTrade. You can download it by clicking on the widget on the left side of the homepage on Jill Phillips.com. While you're there, go ahead and click to hear some of her full length samples. "Square Peg," " Daily Bread" and "I am" are among my favorites.

Once upon a time, I got to interview Jill over e-mail, and we had quite a fun time with it. A couple of months later, she even let me bring my kids over to play while I was staying at my sister's in Nashville. We had some good talks that day, and the next day she invited me to a book study at her church where I was introduced to Andi Ashworth's book Real Love for Real Life (more on that book later). Jill's the kind of girl you want to be best friends with and not just because she's cool and talented. Jill is real. I hope you'll take the time to get to know Jill through her music, and keep a lookout for her new record in the fall. I know I'm looking forward to it.
