Short Silly Late Sunday Post

Saturday night we had grandma come over and join us for pizza and pumpkin carving. When we sat down to eat, the uncut pumpkin was on the table in front of us and the kids all knew we were planning to carve it after we ate. John asked Benji to pray for us and we all bowed our heads and closed our eyes. Benji started out with the usual, "Dear God, Thank you for ..." then he stopped himself and looked up.

"Wait a sec," he said. "New rule, whoever prays, gets to use the knife to carve the pumpkin first."

Later on, after the pumpkin was made and he was supposed to be getting ready for bed, we heard him playing in his bedroom. When he came out I asked him what he was doing and he said he was wrestling on his bed. I asked him who he was fighting and he said, "nobody." Then he added, "Okay, it was a pretend person."

That's all I got for ya. My kids really are the cutest and best. 'Night.
